Review 1 Like its predecessor Song For My Father, this album explores Horace Silver's Cape Verdean roots while staying firmly rooted in the hard bop tradition which he pioneered. Joe Henderson and Woody Shaw were among his best hornmen and J.J. Johnson guests for the second half of this excellent title by one of the finest composers and band leaders in modern jazz.
